A unique Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Valentine's Day is a very commercialized day when you see every girl on the street carrying a bouquet of roses/flowers and the flowers were of rocket prices :X Dining places are also hard to find and everything/everywhere is just ridiculously expensive.

For this year's Valentine's Day, I wanted to do something different thus when I saw the Love Hunt 2015 organized by MyPaper, I asked the boy if he was keen to try it. We submitted our names and by sheer luck, we managed to get into the hunt being 1 out of the 100 teams :)

Before our hunt at Bugis+, we had our Valentine's Day lunch at Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons for ramen!

Presenting my Valentine's Day lunch - Summer Ramen!

The bowl of ramen was generously filled with toppings such as spring onions, cha siew, black fungus and the tonkotsu noodles :) Had a good time slurping up the noodles and the flavourful soup!

After lunch, we proceeded to our meet up point at Bugis+ atrium. We filled the indemnity form and get our team number "005" and tee shirts and went to change into our team tee shirts.

We looked like wearing 情侣装, don't you agree? :P We couldn't wait for the fun to start! After some performances, the honk sounded and we were rushing to our get clues and finding the different locations to do the challenges. It was like an amazing race where each team would need to find a clue to find the next location (either in Bugis+ or Bugis Junction) to complete a task. A successfully completed task would be given a red sticker and a unsuccessfully completed task would be given a green sticker. The unsuccessful task will result in an addition of 10 minutes to the overall time score. Each task would be given 1 minute to complete else it would be deemed as unsuccessful. 5 cupids were situated at Bugis+ and Bugis Junction where the team could approach them for help and for every clue provided by them, a 10 minutes addition would be included to the overall time score. The hunt was 3 hours and the team would need to complete every challenge (15 of them) before 5.30pm.

The next 1-2 hours saw the two of us running around Bugis+ and Bugis Junction searching for clues and doing the challenges. It was quite tiring but yet fun. We unfortunately got stuck at one of the clue which took quite long for us to complete :(

Here was one of the photos taken at one of the station after completing the challenges. It is a tee shirt with two holes and we would need to wear them within a minute. Cheese~~

We finished all our clues (we had to ask for a clue at the end because we could not figure out where the location was - another additional 10 minutes added to overall scoring) by 4.30pm. We finished all the 15 stations, failing one station at the dart station (additional 10 minutes added). By that time, we were quite exhausted and sweaty from all the perspiration.

We submitted the scoring and took a photo! :D We completed the 15 tasks together as a couple, each of us having our own strengths and our own weaknesses. It felt good to know that we were moving towards the same goal and putting our best effort to complete the challenges hand in hand, and always looking out for each other in the process :) A very meaningful Valentine's Day indeed! :D

We saw a guy with two cutely dressed dogs in the mood of CNY. We requested to take a photo with him which he willingly obliged :)

Even though we did not manage to win anything, we did have a lot of fun and collected our goodie bags and $50 capitaland voucher as part of the participation :)

Headed to future mom-in-law's place to have dinner and spent the rest of the night nua-ing at the sofa :D

Not forgetting, my dear presented me with three stalks of handmade roses and a card in the shape of a heart and a present :D

So touched with his efforts. Aren't the roses pretty? :D

And I got a Cony and Brown Line stuff toys from my boy :D

Simple bliss and sweet happiness. This year, I spent a very special Valentine's Day with my boy :)

What about you?
